Fundatia Danis

Fundatia Danis pentru Dezvoltare Manageriala (Fundatia Danis) is a Romanian non-profit organization, established in 2000. Fundatia Danis promotes and encourages management and entrepreneurial education and personal and professional development for youth, and young managers and entrepreneurs, mainly in the North-Western part of Romania.

Fundatia Danis’s main expertise is on youth’s professional development, through internship and apprenticeship programmes, and on entrepreneurship education for young people.

In the last ten years, Fundatia Danis developed this expertise by working in 17 editions of Internship Cluj programme, in three apprenticeship projects, and eight entrepreneurship or financial education projects. In these projects, Fundatia Danis’s main target groups were: university students, vocational high school students, young would-be or new entrepreneurs, unemployed young people from rural areas, children at risk from low-income families/communities. At the same time, Fundatia Danis worked with young managers and experienced entrepreneurs, in order to involve them more and better in the social-economic development of the communities where they work.

Annually, Fundatia Danis works with approximately 200-250 young people (16-25 years old). For instance, in 2015 Fundatia Danis had a positive impact in the professional development, entrepreneurship and financial knowledge and competences of more than 250 young people (university students and vocational high school students). Moreover, the foundation involved more than 40 companies, public institutions and NGOs in community development projects.
