A joint training organized by the Information Society Development Foundation (FRSI) and the Volunteerig Development Foundation (FRW) took place in Warsaw for five fully packed days with training sessions and study visits. Our guests from Norway, representing the organization Norsensus Mediaforum, and from Romania, representing Danis Foundation for Management Development (Fundația Danis pentru Dezvoltare Managerială), started with a visit with our participants from Poland to the Copernicus Science Centre, where learning methods through experience where studied and tried out. During the following days we gained an understanding about volunteering in the various countries, training methodologies helping to set up a training session and on how to conduct them in order to make them appealing for youth. We also touched upon available online tools which can be used to test and increase labour market abilities and became familiar with the role of public libraries as vocational and entrepreneurial counselling centres.
We also organized site visits at the Foundation for Social and Economic Initiatives (FISE), at the Digital Economy Lab at the University of Warsaw (DELab UW) and at the University of Warsaw Library. One of the meetings there was with the President of the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Poland, with whom we had a dialog on teaching entrepreneurship and best practices in various counties in Europe.
Of course next to all the learning & doing we also had some free time and enjoyed very much to see each other again J
………..looking forward to the next training in Romania!
